"By a vote of the league's 30 coaches, Fernandez was one of six players named to the NBA's all-rookie second-team, joining fellow countryman Marc Gasol of the Memphis Grizzlies, among others.In his first NBA season, which included 78 games and four starts, Fernandez averaged 10.4 points, 2.0 assists and 2.7 rebounds per game. He made 159 three-pointers -- the most by a rookie in NBA history -- and shot 40 percent from three-point range.
Coaches, who were not permitted to vote for players on their own team, selected five players for the first team and five for the second team. Fernandez finished tied with Charlotte Hornets point guard D.J. Augustin with the fewest points (17) on either team."
